1: ALWAYS provide perfect customer service.
These days it is probably the number one thing to concentrate on. Always deliver what you promise. Today’s buyers are quick to complain, return and leave negative comments.
2: Use great photos and descriptions.
Online buyers are at the mercy of your images and descriptions to evolve the emotions needed to persuade them to click that “add to cart” button. Great photos that show all the information your viewers need to know are vital.
3: Focus on the 20%
The Pareto Principle says that 80% of the result comes from 20% of the effort
Run regular reports on who are your top 20% and target more of them… the 20% could be…
Top 20% of customers overall – produce a special email campaign aimed directly at them
Top 20% of products – How can you improve that product to increase profits? Can you add a variation to it, add an accessory to create an attractive bundle or adjust the packaging to be more attractive?
Top 20% of your marketing – Look at the top performing social posts and email campaigns. Do more of those
4: Be agile.
Business is unpredictable, you may have the perfect idea for a product. You spend months on tweaking designs and packaging only to find that a competitor has launched a very similar item A successful entrepreneur takes this as proof that they are on the right track and makes a few more tweaks at the last minute to make their product even better.
5: Outsource to Succeed.
Noone knows it ALL. Everybody has limitations. You may have time health, or tech issues. Outsourcing what you are NOT good at leaves you open to excel in the tasks you are good at. I am not suggesting you need to employ full-time staff, even a short term hire from Fiverr or Upwork can get you over a hump.
